Woman's emotional letter to police officer

NTD
NTD
Jazz Thornton, of Auckland, New Zealand, planned to end her life. She sent a “Goodbye” text and went to a local park to do the deed. Police officers met the teen there and stopped her. One officer sat with her for hours and eventually convinced Jazz to choose life. Three years later, Jazz has publicly thanked her savior: “You sat with me on the hospital bed, continuing to speak into my future and telling me of the hope you knew. Hours past and your shift had ended and you were still by my side.” She got a heartwarming response from the officer who saved her: Constable Meika Campbell: “I feel privileged and honoured that her story was told and commend her for openly sharing her demons to make a difference. Jazz is an inspiration and has gone on to help so many of those within our communities battling depression.”
