Winner of Australia’s Most Adorable Animal, George the Wombat, to Be Released

Petr Svab
George the Wombat is the most adorable animal in Australia. At least according to an online poll by Experience Oz travel booking website. George was rescued more than a year ago from his mother's pouch after she was struck by a car. Since then he's lived in the Australian Reptile Park on New South Wales’ Central Coast, an hour’s drive north of Sydney. George rose to online fame after his handler, Tim Faulkner, posted a video of the little guy's exploits on his Facebook page. The video was viewed over a million times. Now comes another milestone for George, as he is to return to the wilderness. To that occasion, the Australian Reptile Park released another video of George—to say goodbye.
