Confirmed- Norovirus Outbreak affects 50 college students in New York

Henry Yan
A norovirus outbreak was confirmed on April 25. Hamilton College in upstate New York said over 24 of its students were infected. Some media have reported over 50 cases. On-campus dining facilities were closed down for disinfection and the school has been cleaning common areas around campus. Infected students were asked not to come to class until 2 days after their symptoms disappeared. The virus is spread through contact. The CDC warns that people can transmit it through food, water, and surfaces. Symptoms of the norovirus include stomach pains, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. The CDC says washing hands is the best prevention method. NTD TV Henry Yan New York News
