State Health Officials Issue Measles Warning

The New York Department of Health issued
a measles warning April 21.
If a person visited any of the 3 places
that two tourists from Europe
who had the virus recently visited
the department warned they may be infected.
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses: Brooklyn, NY April 15 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Watchtower World Headquarters: Tuxedo Park, NY April 16 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Watchtower Educational Center: Patterson, NY April 17 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The virus remains alive in the air
and on surfaces for 2 hours.
Possible Symptoms
fever
rash
cough
conjunctivitis
runny nose
Symptoms usually appear
10 to 12 days after exposure.
Anyone experiencing measles symptoms,
are advised to contact their health care provider.
The department suggests calling instead of
visiting to avoid spreading the virus.
