California Motorist Thrown to the Ground in Attempt to Stop Carjacker

This video, posted by the Stockton, California Police Department’s Facebook page, shows a car owner trying to stop a carjacker. While the car’s owner is opening the trunk, an unidentified man jumps behind the wheel and starts to drive off. The owner tires to hang on to prevent the theft, but he is tossed to the ground. An instant later, another car screeches to a stop almost on top of the downed car owner. It was not a good day to lose his car—but most certainly it was a great day not to get run over. The owner was not severely injured.
