Focus Talk
Focus Talk
Peter Dahlin was one of the first foreigners to be forced to confess on camera in 2016 for the human rights work he did in China. Later his confession was broadcast on Chinese state-run TV. He was released and expelled from China 3 weeks later. Now Mr. Dahlin is leading a systematic campaign to get CGTN and CCTV off the air in Europe and other western countries. In this interview he explains how his efforts successfully got the UK to suspend CGTN's license, as well as detailing some of the work behind the scenes. He also shares how in hindsight he found the experience he went through valuable.
