Grilled lamb leg steak, watermelon steaks & homemade chili sauce
Do I hear summer vibes? 😋🍉
Though a bit unusual combination of ingredients and for some an even more unusual approach to eating watermelon. But as weird as it sounds, it ain't such a bad idea!
The heat changes the texture of the watermelon quite a bit. It becomes more "meaty". Also, grilling brings forth a nice smoky flavour which goes with the mild sweetness really well🤔
A good idea is to pre season the watermelon with your favorite seasonings. We used a bit of soy sauce and just a bit of sea salt
As for the lamb and the sauce...
Steak on medium to high heat 7min on one side and 5-6 on the other. For this cut, in my opinion, medium to medium-well is the way to go. Check out @domacija_hvalc for some amazing lamb cuts!
